Accurate Box earns a printing certification on all of its printing presses for color consistency and gray balance.
Paterson, NJ – January 2019 – Accurate Box, a women-owned company and manufacturer of litho-laminated corrugated packaging, is now G7 certified! G7 is an internationally recognized methodology for calibrating printing presses and proofing systems to ensure color consistency and gray balance.
The certification was conducted by Idealliance and was achieved by multiple press runs on Accurate Box’s new Koenig & Bauer 164 Printing Press with the help of the company’s entire printing department. Accurate Box measured all the printed sheets and sent them to the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York for review and a final check. After close examination, Accurate Box passed!
One of Accurate Box’s G7 Experts, Thomas Niskach, stated, “Our main objective was to control gray balance and the four process colors to submit an overall well-balanced sheet within a set of tolerances. Our three KBA printing presses and our Agfa/Epson proofing system have all been calibrated to: G7 GRACol2013 CGATS 21 CRCP 6. A set of standards for off-set lithographical printing presses.”
