Industry-changing innovation presented at Luxe Pack New York redefines premium packaging possibilities.
Last week, Accurate Box Company presented at Luxe Pack New York as part of the Pack to the Future series highlighting new and innovative packaging solutions. Executive Vice President Samara Ronkowitz and Senior Director of Manufacturing Systems, Innovation & EHS Neil Della Valle took the stage to debut the first double-sided litho-laminated corrugated solution achieved fully in-house in the United States.
The presentation followed the company’s decade long journey to bring this capability entirely under one roof to improve efficiencies, consistencies, and costs to provide the best service to its customers.
Packaging as a Brand Touchpoint
Opening the session for Pack to the Future, Samara Ronkowitz emphasized that packaging today does more than protect a product. It unlocks a full canvas: bold, retail-ready graphics on the outside that command attention and interior surfaces that carry brand storytelling, product instructions, QR codes, or promotional content. Also, with the growth of e-commerce, it has turned the box into a focal point of organic media. A thoughtful, double-sided design ensures a premium unboxing experience, turning a shipping cost into a powerful tool for brand exposure.
A Decade of Innovation
Bringing double-sided packaging fully in-house required years of technical research and development, as outlined by Neil Della Valle. Accurate Box explored multiple approaches, including sourcing preprint rolls, conducting digital printing trials, and partnering with an outside flexo company. However, these methods presented challenges around large volume requirements, obsolescence, and exorbitant ink and plate costs.
The breakthrough came at Drupa, the world’s largest printing exhibition, where Accurate Box sparked the idea of printing two litho sheets and laminating them together to create a two-sided litho-laminated corrugate box. This discovery led to extensive R&D, supplier trials, and feasibility testing. Ultimately, the process solved the technical challenges of double-sided registration, substrate warping, and converting constraints.
What It Means for Your Business
In the closing remarks of Pack to the Future 2026, Samara and Neil reinforced that the fully in-house process offers brands 200-line screen printing, perfect registration, and little to no plate or tooling costs. Brands also have the flexibility to choose from a variety of substrates, coatings, and flute profiles. All production is made in the USA and 100% recyclable. For brands navigating the demands of quality, lead time, and cost, consolidating the entire process under one roof creates a more consistent and efficient path from concept to finished packaging.
The session was part of Accurate Box’s ongoing effort to share what is possible when manufacturing expertise and brand thinking come together.
