September 15, 2008 – Paterson, NJ – Through a program designed to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emissions and mercury produced, Accurate Box recently completed a project which replaced all traditional lighting with compact fluorescent lighting (CFLs). This CFL project is expected to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide by an estimated 75% to 80% each year. The new CFL lighting requires less electricity to function efficiently than traditional lighting and lowers the demand for electricity from coal-fired power plants which will, in turn, reduce the amount of mercury in the atmosphere.
